Sony has preliminarily agreed to pay $7.85 million to settle a class-action lawsuit claiming it overcharged users for certain digital games sold through the PlayStation Store. Sony denies wrongdoing.

The settlement covers eligible users who bought specific digital games between April 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2023. Refunds may come as cash or PSN account credits.

A final court hearing to approve the settlement is scheduled for October 2026.

Eligible titles reportedly include games such as:

  • The Last of Us
  • Call of Duty: Classic
  • Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China
  • Resident Evil 4

The settlement applies only to qualifying games tied to former retail voucher programs and meeting specific pricing criteria.
