Navigating the homebuying process can be overwhelming, especially for first-time buyers. To address this, the Nathan Wenzel Team at Howard Hanna Realty is hosting a free “How to Buy a House” class on January 25 at 10 a.m. at Neutral Ground Coffeehouse in Pittsford.
This class, part of a nationally certified program, is tailored to first-time homebuyers and aims to demystify the complexities of the housing market. Realtors Nate Wenzel and Hannah Mazzaferro will provide guidance, emphasizing the importance of making the homebuying journey enjoyable and informed.
A key feature of the session includes insights from Mike Monile of Fairway Mortgage, who will discuss New York’s first-time homebuyer incentives, including low-interest loans and grants through the State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA). These resources often go unnoticed without proper guidance.
Mazzaferro notes the significant demand for such education, citing their successful November session. “Realtors need to fill the gap because schools don’t teach you how to buy a house,” she says.
This free class promises to be a valuable resource for anyone looking to take their first steps in real estate. For more information or to register, click here.
