Rochester Man’s Bus Camera Ticket Voided After Wrong Vehicle Identified
Written by DJ Sight on July 7, 2026
A Rochester work commuter had his $250 bus stop camera ticket dismissed after video evidence showed he was not the vehicle that passed a school bus illegally.
Curtis Pound said the footage showed a different vehicle committing the violation. He used his SUV’s visible luggage rack to prove his car was not responsible. The Monroe County Bus Patrol Coordinator reviewed the case and agreed the ticket was issued in error.
Pound supports the bus camera program but said the dispute process needs improvement. He said drivers should have an easier way to challenge mistakes without having to appear in court and take time off work.
The citation was voided and his court date was canceled.
