Rochester Family Hosts 2nd Annual Coat Drive to Support Community
Written by Site Hub on December 1, 2025
As winter settles in, the Blue family in Rochester has once again stepped up to help their community stay warm. Hosting their second annual coat drive, Bruce and Nichole Blue, along with sister Ashley, collected and distributed over 350 coats—bringing their two-year total to approximately 600 donated items. The coats, which ranged in size from toddler to 3X, were given to individuals in need ahead of the harsh New York winter. The initiative, grounded in the Blues’ personal experiences with economic hardship, was a family affair, with the couple’s children also donating hats and gloves. Community partners like MVP Health and the Office of Violence Prevention contributed coats and refreshments to support the event. The coat drive not only provided warmth but also strengthened community bonds by encouraging residents of all ages to give back.
