ROC Cinema on South Clinton Avenue is officially for sale, as its owners prepare to relocate to San Diego.

The 108-seat theater, which they purchased in 2021, has hosted much more than movies, including comedy shows, live music, theater, drag performances and Rochester Fringe Festival events.
The owners say they would prefer to see someone carry the business forward rather than close the venue.
The sale could give a new owner the opportunity to preserve and build on one of Rochester’s unique independent entertainment spaces.
