RG&E, NYSEG Begin Moving Indoor Gas Meters Outside for Safety

RG&E and NYSEG are moving indoor gas meters outside for safety and easier access. 

The process takes a few hours, requires the homeowner to be present, and involves briefly shutting off appliances. 

Crews are working neighborhood by neighborhood and contacting customers to schedule the relocation.
