RCSD Students Learn Tech Skills, Build Free Laptops at Summer Camp
Written by Site Hub on July 15, 2025
Rochester City School District students in grades 8–12 are gaining hands-on experience with tech tools at BuildIT Summer Computer Camps, where they learn coding, online safety, AI basics, and hardware assembly. The best part? Each participant gets to build and keep their own laptop. The free one-week camps run in July and August at locations like Great Lakes Gaming and Shift2, including meals and snacks. With spots still available, the program aims to empower youth with valuable technical skills and exposure to the growing digital economy.
