RCSD & RTA Honor 12 1st Year Teachers

The Rochester City School District and Rochester Teachers Association celebrated their interns of the year Monday night. Twelve first-year educators were recognized, all part of the “Career in Teaching” program. The program gives new teachers experience in lesson planning, classroom setup and personal essential skills.
“They are phenomenal. Their students love them, their colleagues admire them, and that is really boding very well for the future of teaching in learning here in our city,” RTA President Adam Urbanski said.
The RTA president said the 12 honored show the future is bright in the city school district. The Career in Teaching program was established in 1987 and was one of the first of its kind in the nation.
