Prank Call Triggers Overnight Lockdown at Rochester General Hospital; Police Confirm No Threat

A prank call prompted an overnight lockdown at Rochester General Hospital after a false report claimed a woman outside the hospital was armed and threatening to harm herself. 

Police responded around 12:05 a.m. Thursday, searched the hospital exterior and parking garages, and found no one matching the report. 

The Rochester Police Department determined the call was a hoax and confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the hospital.
