Casely has issued a recall for approximately 429,000 of its wireless portable chargers, known as “Power Pods,” after 51 reports of overheating, swelling, or catching fire during use. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall Thursday, April 17, 2025, citing six incidents that resulted in minor burn injuries. The affected units, model number E33A, have a 5000mAh lithium-ion battery and were sold online—including on Amazon and Casely’s website—between March 2022 and September 2024.

Consumers are urged to stop using the chargers immediately and contact Casely for a free UL-certified replacement. To receive the new unit, users must complete an online form and submit photos of their recalled Power Pod marked “Recalled” with the date. The CPSC also reminds consumers to dispose of lithium-ion batteries safely, following local hazardous waste guidelines. Casely emphasized its commitment to safety and noted that non-recalled products remain safe for use.
