With Homecoming approaching, district leaders said they will increase security at weekend events and add more personnel around students. Officials are also considering longer-term measures, including additional security staff, vape detectors and a full-time drug counselor.

Some community members remain frustrated and skeptical, calling on the district to follow through. Another meeting is planned, with more details expected Monday.
