Written by on February 15, 2025

New York State Police have arrested five individuals in connection to the brutal torture and murder of Sam Nordquist, a Minnesota man who had been reported missing. Investigators revealed that Nordquist was subjected to prolonged physical and sexual abuse at Patty’s Lodge in Ontario County between December 2024 and February 2025. His body was later found in a field in Yates County after being transported to conceal the crime.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Patty’s Lodge on February 13, uncovering shocking evidence of ongoing abuse. The suspects, Precious Arzuaga (38), Jennifer Quijano (30), Kyle Sage (33), Patrick Goodwin (30), and Emily Motyka (19), have all been charged with second-degree murder.

Captain Kelly Swift described the case as one of the most horrific crimes she has encountered in her 20-year career. Nordquist had traveled to New York last September but lost contact with his family in January.

State police urge anyone with information to contact them at (585)-398-4100 or emailing crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
