NFL Divisional Round Buffalo Bills In Denver Vs. Broncos Saturday
Written by Tariq on January 16, 2026
The Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos will meet in the NFL Playoffs for the second straight season, this time in the divisional round. And if you want to be the best and the last team standing, you’ve got to beat the best. Technically, that’s the Denver Broncos, who earned the 1 seed in the AFC at 14-3.
If you’re the Buffalo Bills, it’s an incredible challenge. Denver ranks second in the league in fewest yards allowed per game (278.2) and first in touchdowns allowed (29). In contrast, Buffalo ranked fourth in most yards gained per game (376.3) and second in touchdowns scored (62).
This will also be the third time the teams have met in the playoffs, with Buffalo winning 10-7 in 1992 and 31-7 in 2025. It will be the first time they’ve ever faced off in Denver in the playoffs.
For the Buffalo Bills, overcoming injuries in the wide receiver room will be a tall task. Gabe Davis and Tyrell Shavers both suffered season-ending ACL tears on Sunday against Jacksonville, ending their seasons.
That essentially leaves the Bills with three healthy wide receivers in Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Brandin Cooks. Curtis Samuel returning to practice on Tuesday, while Kristian Wilkerson was signed to the practice squad, joining Mecole Hardman and Stephen Gosnell.
Sunday will be a test of how well Josh Allen can play with virtually the thinnest wide receiver room possible. But when you’ve got Superman, you still have to have some confidence.
