NASA Sends Crew Toward the Moon in Historic Artemis II Mission

NASA has launched four astronauts on the Artemis II mission, the first crewed journey toward the Moon since Apollo 17 mission. The rocket lifted off at 6:35 p.m. ET from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The crew — Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen — will circle the Moon on a 10-day journey without landing. This mission tests systems for future lunar missions and NASA’s goal of establishing a long-term presence on the Moon.
NASA will stream live views of the astronauts and their journey, letting the world watch as humans travel farther from Earth than ever before.
