Rochester Memorial Day Parade

The Rochester Memorial Day Parade steps off on the morning of Memorial Day at 10:30 a.m. Drivers are warned of the following street closures:

• East Avenue between Alexander Street and Arnold Park
• Sibley Place at East Avenue
• Meigs Street between Park Avenue and East Avenue
• Arnold Park from East Avenue to Park Avenue
• Strathallan Park from East Avenue to University Avenue 
• Prince Street between East Avenue and College Avenue

Brighton Memorial Day Ceremony

The Town of Brighton’s Memorial Day Ceremony has been scheduled from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brighton Veteran Memorial at Buckland Park.

Town officials, active and reserve members of the military, veterans, and Gold Star Families will be at the ceremony to honor fallen service members.

Chili Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The Chili American Legion Post #1830 will be hosting the Annual Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony & Picnic starting at 8 a.m.

The parade starts at the former location of the Chili Fire District on Chili Avenue. It will travel west down Chili Avenue to Old Scottsville Chili Road and into Memorial Park. It will end at the parking lot of the Chili Community Center Veterans Memorial.

There will be a ceremony immediately at the memorial following the parade. The Chili Legion will be holding its picnic from 1 to 5 p.m. at 450 Scottsville Chili Road.

Fairport Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

Fairport’s annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will kick off at 10 a.m. The parade will step off from the intersection of Whitney Road and Main Street, head south through the village, right onto Church Street, and end at Potter Park Veterans Memorial.

A ceremony will be held after the parade, which will include the presentation of colors, patriotic music, guest speakers, and a wreath-laying ceremony. There will also be a moment of silence and the sounding of Taps.

Gates Memorial Day Service

The Town of Gates will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Service on the front lawn of Gates Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Greece Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony

The Town of Greece will be holding its Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony on the morning of Memorial Day.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. at the corner of Janes Road and Long Pond Road. The parade will proceed down Long Pond Rd before ending at the Town Hall.

Following the parade, the ceremony will be held at the Town Hall Pavilion as leaders, veterans, and members of the community pay tribute.

Pittsford’s Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The Town of Pittsford’s Memorial Day Parade will be held at 10 a.m., and the ceremony will follow the end of the parade.

The parade starts at Pittsford-Sutherland High School before heading on West Jefferson Road, turning onto South Main Street, and finishing at the Pittsford Cemetery before the ceremony.

Penfield Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance

The Town of Penfield will hold its Ceremony of Remembrance from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Penfield Amphitheater at Veterans’ Memorial Park.

The ceremony will feature live music, a presentation of roses, and more. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Spencerport Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

Spencerport will be holding its Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony starting at 9 a.m. The parade will go down South Union Street to Veterans Memorial Park.

Victor Memorial Day Parade

The American Legion James Cooke Post 931 is inviting the public to its Memorial Day Parade at 10:30 a.m. The route will be from the Victor Central School Campus to High Street, before ending on Maple Avenue. A ceremony will immediately follow the parade at Mead Square Park.
