Michelle Obama Playfully Calls Out Barack’s Tardiness on New Podcast

On the debut episode of her podcast “IMO”, co-hosted with her brother Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama shared a lighthearted pet peeve about her husband, Barack Obama—his poor sense of timing.

Michelle revealed that Barack has a habit of waiting until the last minute to get ready, often heading to the bathroom or searching for his glasses right at the designated departure time. “Three o’clock departure means you’ve done all that,” she joked.

Craig defended Barack, attributing his relaxed approach to “island time” from his Hawaiian upbringing. Michelle admitted that while his punctuality has improved over their 30-year marriage, it was a learning curve for him.

The Obamas, raised with the belief that “on time was late,” have instilled the same discipline in their daughters, Sasha and Malia.

Despite the small annoyances, Michelle cherishes their marriage, reflecting on their journey through Barack’s presidency and beyond. She acknowledged the challenges but emphasized that the good times far outweigh the difficult moments.
