The rowing route passes through communities including Medina, Brockport, and Fairport before finishing in the Rochester area. The team was spotted passing through the Albion area in Orleans County on Saturday afternoon. Organizers said the trip is designed to raise awareness about homelessness in Rochester while raising money directly for House of Mercy, a local shelter that serves individuals and families experiencing housing instability.
