Former Kennedy Center social impact director Marc Bamuthi Joseph and longtime music producer Nolan Williams Jr. supported the relocation, citing recent leadership changes and an anti-equity stance under the Trump administration. Williams composed a new piece, “Just Like Selma,” emphasizing action and civic responsibility. The move marks a symbolic shift in how institutions celebrate MLK’s legacy.
