Layoffs Leave Rochester Police Accountability Board Without Investigators

Advocates for Rochester’s Police Accountability Board will speak Tuesday at City Hall, worried about the board’s future after all investigators were laid off.

The New York State Appellate Court recently ruled the PAB cannot independently investigate police misconduct. Rochester City Council plans to appeal and will vote on hiring outside lawyers.
