The Greece Police Department has introduced the C.A.R.E. Alert Program to improve emergency responses for residents with disabilities.
Led by Sgt. David Lute, the voluntary program collects photos and medical info to help officers better assist individuals with conditions like autism, dementia, and mental illness.
The initiative also includes mapping tools to locate vulnerable residents quickly during a crisis.
