Former therapist Mario Gibson Franciscotty, 52, was sentenced to three months in jail after admitting to a sexual relationship with a patient he was seeing for marriage counseling.
The woman said the encounters happened four or five times before she later felt the relationship was wrong, learned it violated Michigan law, and reported him. Franciscotty’s license was permanently revoked, and he must also register as a sex offender and serve five years of probation.
