Jax Ulbrich, son of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, has publicly apologized for prank calling Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL Draft.
The prank, which was caught on a live stream and went viral, involved Ulbrich impersonating Saints GM Mickey Loomis to falsely suggest Sanders was being drafted by New Orleans.
Jax, 21, admitted he obtained Sanders’ phone number from an open iPad while visiting his parents’ home.
The Falcons confirmed his involvement, stated that Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the incident, and issued an apology to Sanders and his family.
The NFL is investigating the broader issue, as several other prospects, including Colts pick Tyler Warren, also received prank calls during the draft.
