Eastman School of Music Celebrates GRAMMY Wins

Rochester’s Eastman School of Music is celebrating two big wins at the 67th GRAMMY Awards. Associate Professor of Jazz Voice, Sara Gazarek, took home the award for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for her arrangement of Alma, marking her second GRAMMY win.

Alumnus Jason Treuting won Best Chamber Music and Small Ensemble Performance for his percussion performance in Rectangles and Circumstances, earning his first GRAMMY.

Additionally, several Eastman alumni contributed to GRAMMY-winning performances by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Cleveland Orchestra.

These victories highlight Eastman’s continued excellence in the music industry, showcasing the talent of both its faculty and graduates on a global stage.
