Eastman Museum Cracks Down on Unreserved Photography Sessions

Visitors looking to take prom, graduation, engagement or other special-event photos at the George Eastman Museum may soon need a reservation.

The museum announced a new photography policy requiring reservations for all paid professional photography sessions, as well as prom and formal-event photos, even without a professional photographer. Fees remain $400 for one hour outdoors and $600 for one hour inside the mansion.

Officials say the changes are needed to protect the historic property and gardens, which are undergoing a major restoration project, and to manage growing demand for photography on the grounds.
