E-Bike Safety Becomes Growing Concern

Doctors in Rochester say more kids and teens are getting hurt in e-bike and e-scooter crashes. Some have broken bones, but head injuries can be much more serious.

Doctors say many injured riders were not wearing helmets. Even though e-bikes look like regular bikes, they can go very fast.

In New York, riders must be at least 16 years old, and 16- and 17-year-olds must wear helmets. Parents are encouraged to make sure kids ride safely and follow the rules.
