Following a series of fights at Ontario Beach Park over the weekend, local leaders are focusing on strategies to maintain the area’s vitality and safety.

Yversha Roman, president of the Monroe County Legislature and representative of District 26, highlighted the need for community mindfulness and announced that new safety measures, including entrance and exit arms for the parking lot, will be discussed at Tuesday’s Legislature meeting as part of a broader capital improvement plan.

Law enforcement agencies, including the Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police, met on Monday to coordinate efforts to enhance beach safety.
