Buffalo Bills Fans Want Fired Coach McDermott ‘Reinstated’ Launch Petition

The Buffalo Bills’ firing of former coach Sean McDermott hit some fans hard. In fact, some of them still aren’t over it. There’s a petition at Change.org calling on the team to “reinstate Sean McDermott to the Buffalo Bills.” It had nearly 3,000 signatures as of around 6 p.m. Wednesday. By 6:30 p.m. Thursday, it had nearly 35,000 signatures. Maria Maisonet started the petition writing, “the recent decision to fire Sean McDermott has left me and countless others heartbroken and baffled. Sean McDermott has not only been a strategic mastermind behind our team’s recent successes, but he has also been an inspiring leader with a deep commitment to the Buffalo community.” McDermott finished his Bills career with a 98-50 regular season record. He had seven straight seasons with double-digit-wins and was 8-8 in the playoffs. The last three years, the Bills’ season ended with a three-point loss.
