Artists Pull Out of “Freedom 250” Concert Series

Rapper Young MC has withdrawn from the newly announced “Freedom 250” concert series in Washington, D.C., becoming the second artist to distance himself from the Trump-linked event. Earlier Wednesday, Morris Day said he and The Time would not participate.
Young MC said performers were never informed about political involvement and cited reports describing the event as “Trump-backed.” Meanwhile, Freedom Williams of C+C Music Factory posted a lengthy video criticizing the backlash and later suggested the group may still perform after all.
