$425K in Fake Designer Goods Seized at Rochester Port of Entry

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Rochester seized over $425,000 worth of counterfeit designer items on December 4. Shipments containing fake shoes, watches, handbags, and jewelry were discovered with unauthorized trademarks. One counterfeit watch alone would have been valued at $78,000 if authentic. CBP noted that counterfeit imports typically spike during the holiday season. The agency emphasized its role in protecting consumers and legitimate businesses from the dangers of fake goods.
