6-Month-Old Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash in Gates

A 6-month-old child has died following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Gates, New York.

According to the Gates Police Department, the crash happened around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Buffalo Road and Howard Road when a black SUV rear-ended a white SUV stopped at a traffic light.

Responders from the Gates Fire Department rescued people trapped in the vehicles. The child later died from injuries related to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
